Calculate Age from Date of Birth
Purpose
This calculator shows the elapsed time from a date of birth to today as years, months, and days.
Input
Date of Birth
Enter the date of birth. A date in YYYY-MM-DD format, such as 1999-12-31,
is a clear choice.
Result
The result is the time elapsed between the entered date and the current date, displayed in years, months, and days.
Interpretation
The calculation uses the date on which you run the calculator, so the result changes as time passes. It is an elapsed-duration calculation and may not meet the specific age-definition rules used for legal, administrative, or other formal purposes.
