Calculate Crcl0 (crcl0)
Calculate estimated creatinine clearance based on age, weight, serum creatinine level, and sex. Adjusted for women.
Calculate Crcl0
Purpose
The Calculate Crcl0 function is used to estimate the Creatinine Clearance of an individual based on their age, weight, serum creatinine level, and sex. Creatinine Clearance is a measure of how well the kidneys are functioning.
Use Cases
- Monitoring kidney function in individuals with certain medical conditions.
- Adjusting medication dosages that are cleared by the kidneys.
How to Use
- Enter the required information in the input fields.
- Click on the "Calculate" button to get the estimated Creatinine Clearance value.
Input Values
- Age - Enter the age of the individual. Default unit is years.
- Weight - Enter the weight of the individual. Default unit is kilograms.
- Serum Creatinine - Enter the serum creatinine level of the individual. Default unit is milligrams per deciliter.
- Sex - Select the gender of the individual.
Output Values
- Estimated Creatinine Clearance - The estimated Creatinine Clearance value in milliliters per minute.
Any other Instruction
- The estimated Creatinine Clearance value is an approximation and should not be used as a definitive measure of kidney function.
- Consult a healthcare professional for interpretation of the results and further guidance.
Calculation Steps
- Subtract the age in years from 140.
- Multiply the result by the weight in kilograms.
- Divide the product by 72 times the serum creatinine level in milligrams per deciliter.
- Adjust the result by multiplying by 0.85 if the individual is female.

You can use the following expressions to directly evaluate in a non-interactive manner using eva():
crcl0(age=60, weight=70, serum_creatinine=1.2, sex='M')
crcl0(age=50, weight=60, serum_creatinine=1.0, sex='F')
